Each year, landfills must turn in information on the tonnage taken in, which is reported to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
Data shows the results of school district equity reviews conducted by the Iowa Department of Education based on the letter of findings sent to districts as well as the date upon which school districts became compliant. Documents from reviews starting in the fall of 2010 through February 2016 were reviewed.
Recent data on Iowa’s registered voters revealed shifts among their party affiliations in the months before, during and following the state’s 2008, 2012 and 2016 presidential precinct caucuses.
Maps provide a glance at the 2016 Caucus returns. A comparison of the Democratic votes in 2008 and 2016 show little consistency with counties won or lost by Clinton in the two caucuses.

U.S. Census data show where black and Latino Iowans have fallen behind white Iowans when it comes to income, jobs, home ownership and high school and college degrees. IowaWatch obtained an analysis of 50 years of U.S. Census data from the Colorado-based public service journalism organization I-News, a member of the Investigative News Network to which IowaWatch belongs.
